Drawing: Feeling inspired again…

Where to begin… I’m exhausted these days. Drawing is always fun for me but lately I’ve been so busy the thought of doing it barely crosses my mind. However, I’ve picked up a new hobby in Journaling and Planning. Bujo life.

But recently my old phone which I’ve had for almost seven years finally met an untimely demise. That phone only had 16g of storage which meant I barely could house anything on it. Needless to say this new phone of mine is a power house in comparison. I’m able to draw on my phone again which I haven’t done in years. I will hopefully have many more posts soon. I hope you like this little doodle!

Drawing: Digital Comeback

So long time no drawings, but here I am again. Lately, I just haven’t been in the head space to create. It’s a complicated thing to explain, but I am feeling better lately.

This sloppy sketch is of an original character of mine. His name is Jun Skye, he’s 24, a singer, and lives in a frat house with a horde of other boys. Good boys haha. The reason I decided to draw him was because of who I based him off of years ago. If you are into K-Pop, you might know Jonghyun from Shinee recently passed away. I could go on and on about how much I loved them, how much I cried the last few weeks, but instead I wanted to just draw something quick.

There’s a photo out there of a similar depiction of Jonghyun, I didn’t trace or anything but I liked it so much I tried my best to remember it. So it’s not accurate since I didn’t use it as reference, but still. Even though this was a fast one, I would love to do another more direct tribute someday.

Also, I’m thinking about posting more of my own characters instead of random people like I have been. I did this drawing on a tablet I got for Christmas, and as you can tell I still need some practice. Hopefully this is the first of many new posts; thank you for reading.

Drawing: Working on New Things

Hi all! 

Current mood: Cat snuggles and pizza. 

Lately, I have been back into sitting down with just my sketchbook again, and that’s what the top image is. Even though my artistic level isnt supreme, hanging out with just a small expectation for where it will go always helps me. Somehow, I like this way more than some of my fully completed pieces, even though it’s just pencil. 

Still, sketches don’t serve for nothing, and that’s what I have to remember. Even if I don’t ink and color each and everyone, practicing anotomy and my style is a good use of my time. Plus, there’s less stress to make it perfect, so it’s more fun.
